National Security Health Policy Center  - Activities and Events

NSHPC Activities and Events

Established in late 2000, the NSHPC sponsors, co-sponsors, and participates in a series of studies, activities, and events that create a forum for the presentation and analysis of relevant issues that help forge new linkages between the changing global and national health environment, technologic capabilities, and the formulation of effective national health policies and strategies.

The NSHPC generates and disseminates a variety of publications to help policy makers, industry, educators, and health professionals better understand the interactions that occur at the interface between health issues and national security. Further, it seeks to redefine national security in the broader context necessitated by new and emerging health threats in a changing world and examine current and potential policy options to best manage the associated impacts of these threats.
