International Peer Review Workshop Held at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies
Led by Senior Fellow Dr. A. Alan Moghissi, the International Peer Review Workshop was held at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies in Arlington, Virginia on May 20-22, 2009 to foster vital discussions on best practices for its use in many different environments. Peer Review is recognized as the most powerful tool to ensure that sound science, or as we call it Best Available Science, is used in governmental including regulatory decisions.
Potomac Institute for Policy Studies to Host Event on the Terror of Terrorism: Fear, Panic, Privacy
In the Fall of 2009, the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies and Fellow Dr. Ben Sheppard will run a one day seminar titled the "Terror of Terrorism." The seminar will focus on three key themes: Fear, Panic, and Privacy. As terrorism targets the survivors, the conference will explore how the political, social and psychological aspects can be better understood and addressed.
ICTS Co-Sponsors Event on "Reforming U.S. Counter-Terrorism Assistance Programs”
On February 12, 2009, the International Center for Terrorism Studies at the Potomac Institute, led by Professor Yonah Alexander, co-sponsored an event in the Rayburn House Office Building to discuss reforming U.S. counter-terrorism financial assistance programs.

Potomac Institute Chairman and CEO Michael Swetnam welcomed the Nation's second highest ranking military officer at a private Institute event, where General James Cartwright addressed the audience about the importance of cyber security to our national security efforts.
