"ANNOUNCING THE 5TH ANNUAL The 5th Annual Navigator Awards Dinner is scheduled for Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at the historic Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, D.C. The evening will begin with a reception at 6p.m. followed by dinner at 7p.m. This year's annual event is noteworthy, in that the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies is celebrating its 10th Anniversary! The Navigator Awards are presented annually to Members of Congress, representatives of the executive branch, and industry/academia representatives based on recent or lifetime distinguished service in support of national science and technology policy. The Navigator Awards are so-named to reflect that national leadership, particularly in science and technology policy, is a never-ending process of finding the way ahead. Navigation, one of man's enduring technical challenges, is equally challenging in policy.
