The Potomac Institute for Policy Studies held a special Key Leader briefing by Admiral John C. Harvey, Commander, US Fleet Forces Command, and LtGen Dennis J. Hejlik, Commander, US Marine Forces Command, on Tuesday, January 31. The topic was  Bold Alligator 2012 (BA12),  a large-scale, multinational naval amphibious exercise, scheduled 30 Jan – 12 Feb. BA12 comes at a time of increased debate about the future of amphibious operations. The exercise is designed to revitalize naval amphibious core competencies, and to reinvigorate the Navy and Marine Corps’ culture of conducting combined operations from the sea. There will be a live webcast of this invitation-only event.  Click below to watch video of the event.
