About the Speaker:

B. Raman is currently Director of the Institute of Topical Studies, Chennai, India. He was an intelligence analyst with the Government of India from 1967-1994, when he retired as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. He has written a number of papers on national security and counterterrorism issues that have been published by the South Asia Analysis and Group (SAAG) New Delhi, and by various newspapers. He has also participated in several conferences and seminars and has appeared on television and talk shows.
