Institute Forms New Strategic Partnership 2 June, 2003 Arlington, VA – Potomac Institute Chairman and CEO Michael S. Swetnam today announced the Institute’s acquisition of an interest in a newly formed company, The Communications Center LLC. The Communications Center, LLC will undertake strategic management of significant government and private sector public affairs outreach programs. In making the announcement Mr. Swetnam pointed out it was his hope that The Communications Center, LLC would assist America in better shaping its image around the world in order to help stop the proliferation of terrorism through promoting the message of the promise of America. Potomac’s Director of Marketing and Public Affairs, Daniel S. Dayton, is Chairman and CEO of the new company. Mr. Dayton thanked the Institute for their enthusiastic confidence in the venture, and Mr. Swetnam in particular for his vision. Mr. Dayton has over 30 years of experience as a communicator and businessman. He has owned or operated network affiliated broadcast television and radio stations across the country and has served in various significant roles at United Press International, and NBC, while continuing in his ‘part time’ role as Commanding Officer of the United States Strategic Command Naval Reserve unit. He is a graduate of Emerson College, Boston.
