Event:
In light of the recent terrorist threats to the U.S. and the controversy over the 9/11 attacks, the question is whether America's law enforcement agencies are prepared to deal with future challenges at home and abroad. An insider's perspective will be presented by one of the FBI's most distinguished former official.

Speaker:
Oliver B. Revell is one of the most distinguished law enforcement professionals in the U.S. having served at the FBI in various capacities. In 1985, "Buck" was promoted to Executive Assistant Director, Investigations, and placed in charge of the Criminal Investigative Division making him responsible for all investigative, counter-intelligence, counter-terrorism and international programs of the bureau. He also worked with other governmental and inter-governmental bodies on related issues. For his outstanding achievements "Buck" received several awards from the FBI and the President of the United States. Currently, he is President of Revell Group International, a global business and security-consulting firm.

Established in 1998, the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies' International Center for Terrorism Studies (ICTS) is a non-profit research organization dedicated to educating the public and the nation's policymakers about the nature and intensity of, and most effective responses to, the terrorist threat in the 21st century. ICTS serves as the coordinating body for three worldwide consortia of universities and think tanks: the Inter-University Center for Terrorism Studies, the Inter-University Center for Information Warfare and Cyber-terrorism Studies, and the Inter-University Center for Science and Technology Studies. ICTS is also affiliated with the Inter-University Center for Legal Studies at the International Law Institute.
