International Center for Terrorism Studies Looks at Pakistan’s Perspectives

Arlington, VA -- On May 25, 2004, the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies’ International Center for Terrorism Studies (ICTS) will host a seminar to explore the outlook for the terrorist challenge in the Middle East in light of the deteriorating situation in this region. The discussion will look into whether Pakistan is capable of serving as a future key partner in combating terrorism.

Hon. Mohammad Sadiq, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Pakistan, and Dr. Naeem Rathore, Former Official at the United Nations will both give their rich insight into this issue. Hon. Mohammad Sadiq has rich diplomatic experience including posts in Beijing, Brussels, and Belgrade. Dr. Naeem is a national of Pakistan. Other panelists include Professor Yonah Alexander, ICTS, Prof. Edgar H. Brenner, Inter-University Center for Legal Studies, and Michael Swetnam, Potomac Institute for Policy Studies.

The event is hosted jointly by ICTS, the Inter-University Center for Terrorism Studies, and the Inter-University Center for Legal Studies, International Law Institute.
