Dr. Prior Named in “Homeland Security 100”

Arlington, VA – The February 2004 issue of National Journal named Potomac Institute staff member, Stephen Prior, as one of the top outside experts in their “Homeland Security Top 100” article.

The article highlights people who have played major roles in “policy development and implementation in the field of homeland security.” Prior, who was recently awarded a contract with the Center for Disease Control to study the psychological effects of quarantine during a bioterrorism attack, is placed among Senators and top homeland security officials for his work in homeland security policy. The editors and staffers of both National Journal and Government Executive collaborated to develop the list.

Dr. Prior established the National Security and Health Policy Center (NSHPC) at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies in 2000. The NSHPC is now home to innovative research on health policy issues that effect our national security.
