2005 Ambassadors' Forum: "International Cooperation in Combating Terrorism" January 10, 2005 News Release Washington, D.C. -- Concerns have been expressed that in the wake of the Tsunami tragedy international relief facilities, operations, and personnel will become the next target of terrorist attacks. However, an event to be held on Thursday, will discuss the prospects that the unprecedented international relief effort concerning the tsunami will encourage an improved international counter-terrorism strategy in 2005. These and other related issues will be discussed by distinguished representatives of six countries at a special “2005 Ambassadors’ Forum” on January 13th at the National Press Club. The annual “Ambassador’s Forum” brings together Ambassadors and prominent representatives from countries on the forefront of the War on Terrorism to discuss current issues in terrorism. The event will be hosted by the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies’ International Center for Terrorism Studies, Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Inter-University Center for Legal Studies, International Law Institute, and the Inter-University Center for Terrorism Studies.
