Dr. Wayne Martin Joins Potomac Institute for Policy Studies

Arlington, Va. - Dr. Wayne Martin joined the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies as a Senior Research Fellow, and will support various research activities with a specific focus on the Institute’s work with the Department of the Navy. He comes to the Institute from MITRE, where he was Head of the Naval Science and Technology Department. At MITRE, Dr. Martin worked primarily with the Office of Naval Research in areas including remote sensing of littoral zones, modeling and simulation, system interoperability, mine countermeasures, and command and control. His prior experience includes non-acoustic anti-submarine warfare, ocean remote sensing and arctic physics. He had been an Adjunct Fellow at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies since 1997. Dr. Martin received his Ph.D. from the University of Delaware in Physical Oceanography in 1981.
The Potomac Institute for Policy Studies is an independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit policy research institute that provides non-partisan analysis of technology and technology policy to leaders in government, business and academia.
