The Institute is dedicated to the development and implementation of policies that advocate and manage the increasing role of science and technology in our evolving world. To this end, a critical part of our mission is to inform and educate policymakers on strategic issues through a number of initiatives. These initiatives are primarily based on our fiercely objective research and analysis of science and technology challenges and related public policy. Our activities on the Hill include informational briefings or informal talks to Members, their personal staff, and committee professional staff, as well as policy papers. Another aspect of our legislative strategy is to provide a forum for an open, nonpartisan dialogue that helps to enlighten Members of Congress and their staff on key science and technology matters that are ongoing in the public policy debate.
