The Potomac Institute’s think tank mission is carried out via its academic research centers. These centers aim to produce big, bold ideas for policy in their respective areas.

    The Global Competition Project (GCP) regularly engages with a spectrum of experts to elevate insights on the primary challenges and opportunities associated with science and technology policy and national security. Focused on societal level competition, the Global Competition Project develops foundational references for national security professionals, policymakers, industry leaders, and others while driving awareness in how the U.S. might address the most consequential aspects of the globally competitive environment.

    The International Center for Terrorism Studies (ICTS) educates policymakers and the public in general on the nature and intensity of the terrorism threat in the 21st century. It monitors current and future threats; develops response strategies; communicates with policymakers, academic institutions, business, media, and civic organizations; and sponsors research programs to share findings nationally and internationally.
