Professor Yonah Alexander, head of the Potomac Institute’s International Center for Terrorism Studies (ICTS), spoke to Fox News on March 9th about Western youth being recruited by ISIS to terrorism. See FOX 5’s News Story Here:

Last week, a Prince William County high school student was in custody after being accused of helping a man make his way to Syria to fight with ISIS. The terror group has made their presence widespread online and used propaganda to recruit young people from around the world to wage jihad. "Nothing is new there under the sun,” Prof. Alexander said. “But what is new is the technology and the internet, and this is a tool for recruitment of young people.”

The mission of ICTS is to contribute to policy discussion and debate on the scope and nature of the current and future threat of terrorism. Most recently Prof. Alexander moderated a seminar on Terrorism Victimization of Women and Children, and published Al-Qa’ida: 10 Years After 9/11 and Beyond
