The Potomac Institute for Policy Studies hosts a variety of seminars, discussions and events that focus on topics and experts on subjects regarding key science, technology and national security issues facing our society, providing in particular an academic forum for the study of related policy issues  From these discussions and forums, we develop meaningful policy options and ensure their implementation at the intersection of business and government.  Our topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Science and technology policy;
  • National security;
  • S&T forecasting;
  • Operational research;
  • Terrorism and asymmetry;
  • Emerging threats and opportunities;
  • Cybersecurity; and
  • Neurotechnology and ethics.

Many of our events are webcast, and those live streams can be found on this events tab.  In addition, the majority of our events are recorded, and videos are posted on this site, as well as on our YouTube channel.

The Potomac Institute for Policy Studies is an independent, 501(c)(3), not-for-profit public policy research institute. The Institute identifies and aggressively shepherds discussion on key science and technology issues facing our society.
